Colleen M. Kelly died suddenly in Framingham on December 14, 2012 after being struck by a car. She was born and raised in Melrose and graduated from Melrose High School in 2009.
Colleen was a senior and an English major at Framingham State University where she was studying to be a school teacher. Miss Kelly loved old movies, was an avid reader, she enjoyed Broadway plays, loved cats, the Red Sox and listening to the Beatles.
Colleen had a very strong faith, was a lifelong member of St. Mary’s Church in Melrose; where she taught CCD for several years. She was a sweetheart and will be sorely missed by all her family and friends. Colleen was the beloved daughter of Dennis & Kathleen (Lynch) Kelly. Loving sister of Caitlin D. Kelly & Timothy F. Kelly both of Melrose.

The recipient must be an Honors or AP English student with a passion for literature. Preference to be given to a student attending a state college.
