This scholarship is presented by the Melrose Bandaiders alongside the Frank DeGiacomo Band Service Award and the recipient is determined by the Melrose Band Director and band staff.The Frank DeGiacomo Band Service Award recognizes a Melrose High School band student who demonstrates outstanding service on behalf of the band, dedication, and proud representation of the Melrose High School Band program and the values it stands for. Named in recognition of Frank DeGiacomo, who served as Melrose High School Band Director in the mid-1970s, the award reflects his lasting impact on the band program and school community. Mr. DeGiacomo was highly regarded by his students and this award honors his legacy of leadership, service, and the Melrose Band’s tradition of excellence.
Graduation from high school is the first step out of Melrose and into the world. This is a significant event in your life, and the people who support the Scholarship Fund are happy to join with the faculty of Melrose High School and the community at large in wishing you well.
